We got in this morning dead tired from the bus ride from Buenos Aires. About 10 hours total time in a nice luxurious two story bus with dinner and a breakfast. But, the breakfast was full of candies, way to get the caffeine in your system in the morning huh?

Didn’t do much exploring during the day. My body has been compensating itself for lack of sleep lately so my sleep hours have changed. I slept the rest of the day and finally woke up around 6. Bolo already did some things around town so he was now passed out.

Looking over Roosh’s old posts and the Lonely planet we decide on heading to Nuevo Cordoba and plan to get a cab. Well, the cab driver tells us “Estas en Nuevo Cordoba.” Which means you are in Nuevo Cordoba. We walk down the street and end up at a bar playing some pretty nice electro music. We sit down and order some drinks. I can’t drink much, because I am on antibiotics. I got sick in Lima from the food and caught a bad case of traveler’s diarreah. Man did it suck. Don’t eat ceviche I am warning you!!

I see a two set… I ask Bolo ” U gonna open?” I decide to open and head over there. It’s a 3 set and it didn’t go well at all. I opened them with “Do you know any good clubs around here?” The one I opened tells me one then she gets up and the other friend sits down. The friends are there and I tried to talk to them, but I was getting shut out by them. They weren’t having it. I say whatever then I sit back down with Bolo. He opens his next sit and they didn’t speak much English- he is working on his Spanish.

I have to rebound from that last set I am thinking to myself. I look to my left and see a group of three young college girls having a drink and socializing. I get up off my seat and head in their direction. I ask them about cool bars in the area. They say “No somos de aqui…”  (We are not from here.).I look over at them and ask them where they are from. The Patagonia. Wow, so you must like the mountains and the wilderness I ask my target to my right. She starts laughing and from there I sat down and locked in. I called my wing Bolo in who handled one of the obstacles.

Ran the how many kids you are going to have palm read, kinoed, qualification, and frame control. She was a Psychology major at the University here in Cordoba… I asked her if she could read my mind? Bolo was stalling out towards the end because of the friends English inability. It was time to eject the set. Email closed- she said she didn’t have a phone? HMMM…. I’ll have to have something ready for that one because everyone has a phone these days…

Rest of the night

After that, the rest of the night was great. I couldn’t believe how many young college students there are in Cordoba. Some looked too young to be college students! We kept walking around the bar area and got handed a flier to a club called Bebederos. Bolo opens a set in there and the venue wasn’t too great so we head out….

I see a street set walk to my left… Bolo says open Latinstylez! I want to, but I’m caught off guard and don’t. We walk further past a park area and I see them to my left. This time I would… Asked about local clubs in the area and we kept walking with them… Bolo’s target was def into him and you could tell she was SNL material by the way she was looking at him… The problem was that she didn’t speak too much English. I would have ran obstacle for him- I can speak Spanish, but he had me run the apocalypse for him… She wasn’t having it… We moved on….

Last Venue of the Night

The last venue of the night was cool looking club in the Nuevo Cordoba area. Didn’t have the name of it on me… I’m going to start carrying around a notepad… As soon as we went in, Bolo was opened by a set of five hotties who were grabbing on to his newly shaved head… This definitely got the positive mood going… We talked to them for a bit to build social proof then walked around the venue. I spot a 3 set dancing… Open Latinstylez… I opened with “Quien da mas mentiras mujeres o hombres?” (Who lies more men or women) I have been using it down here in Latin America and it works well as a good opinion opener for two sets or more. They started talking and I picked my target out of the group… She had a piercing and I asked her if it hurt… She said no, then I asked her if she had any tats… Nope she didn’t have any…

I called Bolo in and he ran obstacle for me and his target ended up speaking English. The problem here is it was a 3 set. I have to work more on my isolation skills(I know build enough compliance with the friends)…with 3 sets as most of the sets I have been seeing in Cordoba are mixed sets. I was able to isolate for a bit when I number closed her… She was tall and very compliant to all of my compliance tests… I also joked around with her about being from the countryside cuz she was from a small town… She couldn’t have enough of it she was laughing so much…

The target and her friend went to get a drink so I opened a set of girls who looked pretty young. Found out they were 21… Again, Bolo’s target spoke English… And it was another three set… From another small town so I ran the same routine which worked well… Number closed…

End of the night

We were both pretty tired and decided to head home. As we were walking back, I thought to myself ” Cordoba wouldn’t be a bad place to stay for a while!” The young college population and fun nightlife make this city worth checking out… While everyone else is cold in Buenos Aires, we are all pretty warm here in Cordoba

Here comes the question people have been wondering. Should you speak Spanish in South America? I’m going to be blunt here and tell you yes.  First, I haven’t met many girls here in Medellin who have spoken English. The whole time I have been running everything in Spanish. And actually, when some of the girls I have sarged write in English I just want to tell them to stop. Literally, I couldn’t read her sentences I just switched back to Spanish. This mainly focuses on Colombia and Venezuela for knowing Spanish. I talked to a guy in Brazil and in Argentina and it is toss ups there for knowing English. It’s interesting because you take a country like South Korea which Korean is so vastly different from English and they can comprehend English pretty well.

What are the benefits of running your sets in Spanish? You won’t sit there looking at each other just smiling, you won’t have to ask your Latino American friend to translate every time for you (me),  and you won’t have trouble escalating because you know your routines in Spanish and there’s no need to hesitate.

But, what if I have a bad Spanish accent or I mix up words? Not a big deal trust me. The people here are always willing to help someone out with their Spanish. Then, you have to ask yourself do you want the quality girls? Well, I’m telling you this that the quality girls probably don’t know any English. I mean why would they? They don’t have a reason to all the Latin guys are taking good care of them.

Latin, I don’t know any Spanish should I still come to South America? Sure, come down to South America. I highly recommend going to a Spanish school and dedicating yourself to learn the language. If you don’t want to go to a school, then check out exchanges. Basically, you teach them English and they teach you Spanish. The key here though is to make an effort to learn the language.

Let’s say in countries like Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile have some people who can speak English- there still will be people who do not speak English including HB’s. I mean why bother speaking English with them when you can work on your Spanish skills. You will be speaking to them in their native tongue which I’m sure they will enjoy more, and let’s be real Spanish is a romantic language

I head over to the venue and it’s a classy bar that has two stories. He has his girl meet him there HB8. She takes time so I want to get my AA over with and approach this tan hottie HB7 older Colombian girl. I opened with something about what drinks. She’s seated and I’m standing by the bar. She doesn’t know English so I had to switch over to Spanish. I have to work more on my stacking material in Spanish. This was probably my best set of the night. She threw me IOI’s and was there by herself. I instead threw a false time constraint and left the set. Looking back, I should have stayed in the set and worked on some bounces. Then again, I have to work out my logistics in the area.

I head upstairs to meet up with my brother and his girl. She has a group of friends who are with guys. I open them and interact with the whole group. As I looked around the venue, I realized that this was going to be pretty challenging for me. This is probably one of the first times I have looked around and been kind of lost at what I should do. I didn’t have a wing either and it’s tough to motivate myself solo.

After that, I head downstairs and get back to work again. I see a two set in front of me. Two white outfits that look like sisters. I open and make a comment about if they are sisters. They start laughing and I proceed with the set in English this time. As I started stacking with my target, I didn’t have anyone to handle the friend. We talk more and I ask her about traveling and stuff. Turns out she has traveled. The friend looks pretty bored so I enertain her too. I tried to number close my target and she made an excuse about her bf. I eject from the set.

I opened another set outside HB 9.5. She was tall brown hair and tan skin damn fine lol… I made a comment about her purse and stacked from that.

Her: You speak Spanish I know
Me: Yeah
Her: You have that latin look and starts smiling at me…
Me: Switches over to Spanish

Her friends come and she gets inside the car. Every set I was opening was with guys lol…. I went back inside ran another set to no avail….

Things I need to work on:
1. Recalibrating- after being in Korea, the game is played differently here. I have to adjust my game!
2. Stacking- I have to know what I am going to do and say. I didn’t go in with a game plan last night
3. Relax- I felt pressured to perform last night. I just need to kick back

On a good note, I am meeting up with this HB today for a Day 2 in the city… I will post about that

Enjoying Latin America and the women…

For the next two weeks, I will be focusing on learning Spanish and finishing The Four Hour Work Week. I am working on gaming soon, I am just down here spending time with family. I will be going out tonight and tomorrow so hopefully I will have some feed on the Panamanian girls I have encountered.

Let me tell you so far I like what I have been reading from The Four Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss. He talks about only checking your email twice a day. At 12PM and 4PM and to avoid reading news articles. I have been a culprit of checking yahoo news constantly and also being on my email too. NO MORE. I have better things to focus on like learning Spanish and gaming.

The temptation has drawn to me to check my emails, but I am going to follow what Timothy Ferriss talks about on The Four Hour Work Week. I am also finishing The Way of the Superior Man. It is a really good book and David Deida has some really good ideas about relationship handling. I’m only halfway through so I will follow up with an analysis later.

I went out this weekend and did a complete wardrobe makeover for Latin America. Why? Well, it was due time. Now, I threw down some cash for the clothes, but it’s worth it for me.

Some people tend to neglect the way they dress. You can see it everyday- people who do not know how to coordinate their style. If you are looking at your wardrobe right now and think you may need an update, do it. Women look at appearance and they notice the way you dress. Especially in Latin American countries, where the guys are in big competition for the women.

I like to wear casual clothes for chilling (nice tee, pants, and casual shoes like doc martens). When I hit the clubs, I have some nice dress shirts (Perry Ellis, Banana Republic, Express), pants (Banana or Express), black belt,  and black dress shoes to match. I never forget the black socks. You have to color coordinate.

If you think you may not have fashion sense, ask an HB to take you out shopping. Women are generally really good at picking out clothes. Having a good wardrobe, will add confidence to your sets and give you more of a sense of identity.

My parents got a bunch of Spanish channels, so I started checking them out today. Hearing the Spanish was great and awesome practice at hearing the language. I was watching Telemundo and the Soap I was watching had some really hot latinas in them. I can’t remember the name of the one I watched, but it ended with the chode guy getting cheated on by this 10+. I’m going to continue watching them till my trip to South America. Definitely good listening practice.
