Mental Barriers Asian men have when Dating

Asian men have long been depicted in movies and the mass media in a distinctly unfavorable light, resulting in the rise of many stereotypes like the nerdy, geeky Asian or the asexual Asian.

Society rarely expects Asian men to stand up for themselves, much less have the confidence to approach beautiful women of high value. The resulting outcome is that many Asian men have placed themselves in a few mental lock-holds that restrict their success with women.

The first is bitterness and anger. Many Asian men have resorted to blaming the media for its negative stereotypes and often blog and write in rage at these unfair protrayals. They attribute their failures to external factors but rarely take any real-life action besides rage-driven posts.

Behind their rage is an inner self-loathing and acceptance of the fact that they are an inferior race and that being Asian is a distinct disadvantage.

The second is to stay seething but silent. Many Asian men who feel this way walk around in angry, silent desperation. They hate the fact that they do not have the desire they want but rarely take any action to change their situation.

Their self-pity builds up to an extent that one day they either suffer a breakdown or they lash out in uncontrollable rage. Whatever the case, theirs is a low-burn suffering on a daily basis.

The last is the escapist. The ones who give up altogether and do not play the game. They either engage in mail-order brides or take off into becoming sex tourists and never have any real connections with women.

The real way out of these negative mental barriers is to understand that continual thinking in this manner will never really result in real success with women. Instead, one should first disengage from these negative thoughts and pursuits.

The removal of negative influences – negative friends or media will accelerate the recovery process and aid him in improving his self-confidence and relationships with women.

What would really make a real difference is to find mentors or shining examples of other Asian guys who have succeeded before and use them as a benchmark, to break the whole stereotype and shatter the limiting belief.
